- The Art of Sustainable Gardening with Eaglesong
- An avid herbalist and kitchen gardener, EagleSong is the Head Gardener at Willows Lodge in Woodinville. She will illustrate how she implements sustainable practices, integrated pest management, and nutrient cycling in the working kitchen and display gardens at Willows Lodge. Included in the price is a special lunch prepared by Chef Bobby of Barking Frog Restaurant.

- Join Richie Steffen, curator of the Miller Botanical Garden and past president of the Hardy Fern Foundation, for a tour of the ferns in the Miller Garden. He will discuss the best ferns for our climate and how to use them in the garden.

- Cooking from the Garden with Joan Caine
- Come to Joan Caine's vegetable garden, featured in Valerie Easton's column last June. Cameron Scott of Exteriorscapes designed sculptural weathered-steel raised beds for her to grow sustainable herbs, lettuces, and vegetables for everyday cooking. Joan, a former cooking instructor and restaurant reviewer, and her friends Poppy and Sally who write the blog Mixed Greens will give a cooking demonstration using the organic food from her garden.

- Garden Design with Rick Kyper
- Rick Kyper is an extraordinary garden designer who has a passion for rare and unusual plants. He will illustrate in his own lush garden how to combine plant collecting into a seamless design through emphasizing color. This class is for intermediate to advanced students.

- Creaing a Planting Plan from a Vase, with Jim Fox
- Jim will take cuttings of flowers and leaves from the garden and arrange them in a vase. He does this not to create a centerpiece or hall table arrangement, but to plan planting combinations for the garden. He will show you how to use arranging these cut flowers and other plant material in a container to create planting groups, form good color mixes, and interesting textures when creating garden plantings.

- Photography 101 with Charles Needle
- Nationally known photographer Charles Needle will teach a 3-hour beginner’s photography class. The class will be held in the magnificent garden of Alison Andrews in The Highlands. Charles will use the beautiful plantings in this garden to illustrate how to properly frame a picture, determine lighting requirements, and special effects. Bring your camera or your iPhone to learn how to capture the beauty of your own garden.
