May Umtanum Creek Canyon Wildflower Hike with Daniel Mount-SOLD OUT
May 25 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pmMembers: $35.00, Non-members: $55.00
This year we are returning to Umtanum Creek Canyon. The wet winter promises a super bloom in our eastern deserts and Umtanum Canyon offers a wide variety of habitats for a maximum amount of wild flowers. The quickly warming spring of interior Washington brings on a succession of blooms that can be fleeting, so both tours promise to be interestingly different. This is also a great place for birds. We may even see the California bighorn sheep again, or a rattlesnake.
We are trying something different this time. We are offering two hikes a month apart and you can register for just one or both.
Easy flat hike for the most part with minor elevation gain to reach some of the rarer plants growing among the canyon’s rock walls.
Bring a bag lunch, plenty of water, sunscreen, umbrellas, camera and a few friends.
